For the past few months I've been slowly crafting two new formulations here in the hinterland: a rich castor oil and tallow face cream, and our very first face oil, both slow infused with blue lotus flowers and rose petals.

Aurea Elixir is a delicate blend of castor oil and golden jojoba oil, slow infused with whole blue lotus flowers, rose petals and lavender, then finished with rosehip oil and sea buckthorn. Essential oil free
Jojoba closely resembles the skin's natural oils and castor oil aids as a transdermal carrier, allowing the therapeutic botanicals to absorb deeply and leave the skin soft and nourished without feeling heavy.
Apply morning and night for a vibrant, glowing complexion.
Key ingredients
- Castor oil and golden jojoba
- Slow infused with whole blue lotus, rose and lavender
- Rosehip and sea buckthorn
80ml glass dropper bottle. Handmade in small batches in the Byron Bay hinterland.
Tallow has been trusted in skincare for generations because its unique fatty acid profile closely resembles the natural oil found in healthy human skin. This allows it to absorb beautifully while helping support the skin's natural moisture barrier without leaving a heavy or greasy feel.
Naturally rich in vitamins A, D E and K, along with beneficial fatty acids, tallow helps nourish dry, sensitive and mature skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple and deeply moisturised.
At Sẽlkyn, we slowly infuse whole certified organic botanical compounds to become part of every balm. The result is a rich, luxurious moisturiser handcrafted in Australia using certified organic ingredients, with no industrial seed oils or unnecessary fillers.
Tallow is a natural fat and therefore will change consistency according to the weather. On cold days the tallow will become more firm, whilst on warm days it will become very soft. If the tallow is firm from the cold, it will soften beautifully when warmed up between the hands or fingers, ready to use.
Ideally store in a cool room, such as a bathroom for ideal consistency and longevity.
Use within 6-9 months of opening. Store out of direct sunlight.
We offer free shipping on orders over $100 Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

Testimonials
from our happy customers
43 Years old with 4 kids - this suits my capacity!
This is a wonderful product that does not leave me with residue after application, I have about a 5 second window to tend to my face and it feels awesome that I can use with out fuss! I have definitely been weathered by life in my 43 years but loving my skin as it changes, this is such a supportive skin potion to support me in this journey!
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
I have been using this product for nearly 3 months and I cannot praise it enough. I have had issues in the past with my skin, but this balm has transformed my skin. As a post menopausal women, my skin gets dry, but this product leaves my skin feeling plump and soft. I use it on my face and body.
People have commented on how good my skin is looking. I won't go back to my old moisturiser
I absolutely love this balm!
It’s the one and only thing I use on my skin and I love how simple that makes my daily routine. My skin has never felt more nourished. The herbs infused inside are also very gentle and pleasant which my wife loves!
I couldn’t recommend this balm more and I will be using it for many years to come
