For the past few months I've been slowly crafting two new formulations here in the hinterland: a rich castor oil and tallow face cream, and our very first face oil, both slow infused with blue lotus flowers and rose petals.

Tallow has been trusted in skincare for generations because its unique fatty acid profile closely resembles the natural oil found in healthy human skin. This allows it to absorb beautifully while helping support the skin's natural moisture barrier without leaving a heavy or greasy feel.
Naturally rich in vitamins A, D E and K, along with beneficial fatty acids, tallow helps nourish dry, sensitive and mature skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple and deeply moisturised.
At Sẽlkyn, we slowly infuse whole certified organic botanical compounds to become part of every balm. The result is a rich, luxurious moisturiser handcrafted in Australia using certified organic ingredients, with no industrial seed oils or unnecessary fillers.
Tallow is a natural fat and therefore will change consistency according to the weather. On cold days the tallow will become more firm, whilst on warm days it will become very soft. If the tallow is firm from the cold, it will soften beautifully when warmed up between the hands or fingers, ready to use.
Ideally store in a cool room, such as a bathroom for ideal consistency and longevity.
Use within 6-9 months of opening. Store out of direct sunlight.

I have struggled with skincare products and moisturisers my whole life because of sensory issues. Things were either chalky, or slimy, or smelt funny or just felt weird. Yuck, yuck and gross. Then I discovered this organic tallow! I love how it feels on my skin, I actually look forward to doing skincare, it's been transformative! I have already left a review, so this is an update review. Recently, my 35 year old colleague held me by the shoulders and stared at my face. She said, "I've gotta get me some of this tallow!" I said, "Why!" She said, "Your skin looks amazing!" I'm 49. I am always getting compliments from my customers, about how great my skin looks. Even my doctor, and his wife, complimented me at my last appointment. I liberally slather it on twice a day. The best product I have ever used!
